Black Rock Farm is now offering a mobile experience featuring our loveable Highland cows, perfect for schools, community groups, corporate wellness days, private events, and more!
This isn’t your average petting zoo — it’s an immersive, hands-on educational cattle experience designed to inform, entertain, and bring the farm right to your location.
Mobile Event Experience Options
Not only do we want you to be hands on with Highlands, we want you to learn about the breed as well! Our mobile set up is designed to be educational while giving your group the opportunity to experience Highland cows up close and personal! All mobile experiences must be pre booked approximately 30-60 days in advance as our schedule allows, use the form below to inquire.
Week Day Bookings
What’s Included?
For experiences booked on a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday:
Hands-on Brushing — with two of our Highland cows
(Note: up to 4 participants allowed in the brushing pen at a time for safety and comfort, all brushes provided)Complete Mobile Set-Up
(Space required: 35ft long x 20ft wide — trailer and enclosure set up and clean up included)Highland Cow Photo Op Board — snap-able and shareable moments
Self-Guided Educational Scavenger Hunt — magnets around the trailer share Highland cow facts and information, worksheet included
Steer Lassoing Station — practice your roping skills on our plastic cow friends

$250/hour (2-hour minimum)
Plus $2/mile travel fee (round trip)
$200.00 non refundable deposit required

With allowing 4 people into our mobile petting pen at one time, generally 50 people can be hands on with the cows in an hour. The educational scavenger hunt, photo op and lasso station are all self-serve. Mobile experiences can be booked for up to four hours at a time.

No problem! Rescheduling your event must happen within 48 hours of the start of your booking. Our cattle will not come indoors for mobile events, this is an outdoor experience.

Generally we are booking 30-60 days in advance, the more notice the better! Please fill out the form with your event details to start an inquiry. We also book events on the farm, so mobile experiences will have to coordinate with our on farm schedule as well. Bookings are not confirmed until the non refundable deposit is paid in full. Submitting the form below does not reserve your booking.

The only thing we will need for your experience is space! Parking on grass is ideal for the comfort of the cows, but we handle all set up and clean up for the event! We also provide hand wipes for a post cow brushing clean. Submit the form below if you have additional questions or want to begin a booking!

Generally we like to stay within an hour and a half of Myersville, MD 21773. We will let you know if your event is out of our radius!
